What it is

A minimally invasive procedure that allows direct visualization inside the uterus with a thin camera (hysteroscope).

When it’s recommended

  • Abnormal uterine bleeding.
  • Suspected uterine polyps, fibroids, adhesions, or uterine anomaly.
  • Infertility evaluation.

How it’s performed

Performed in the office or outpatient setting with sedation or anesthesia. The hysteroscope is inserted through the vagina and cervix into the uterus, allowing both diagnosis and immediate treatment of intrauterine conditions.
